What is SOLUM?
SOLUM is an ambitious project that creates a personalized NFT for every location on Earth.
Some examples:
- Your small dorm room, where you coded your unicorn startup.
- The location, where you've met the love of your life for the first time.
- The place where your co-founder came up with the idea that changed your life.
- Your childhood home, first office or where you found that abandoned cat.
- Famous landmarks, secret locations, place you want your ashes to be scattered.
Your NFT will include a custom personalized message, along with the coordinates of your location stored on the Ethereum Blockchain. Each NFT will be created individually and will only be available to purchase from your Ethereum wallet address. Items can later be sold or transferred regularly on NFT marketplaces such as OpenSea.
How Do I Find Location Coordinates?
We Use What3Words System for this where every 3 metre square of the world is a unique combination of three words. This gives 57 Trillion different locations! For example "Bounty.Royal.Yards" that you see in these picture refers to a specific point in TATE Modern in London. You can easily get these from the What3Words website here. Alternatively, you can use regular Latitude and Longitude format if you prefer.
Will these go up in value?
Each NFT is currently priced at 0.09 ETH. While there may be competition for famous landmarks such as The Eifel Tower, Mount Everest or perhaps The Brooklyn Bridge, the real value for these is personal. These will make excellent gifts. If you've been involved with the NFT community you will know that NFTs are not about money. They are about love.

What is an NFT?
An NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is a unit of data on a digital ledger called a Blockchain, where each NFT can represent a unique digital item, and thus they are not interchangeable. It is a class of cryptocurrency assets in which each item, or token, is entirely unique. At its heart, an NFT is just a digital representation of something unique that uses a smart contract platform like Ethereum to prove that it is genuine. It is easy to verify ownership of an NFT for anyone in the world. NFTs can represent digital files such as art, audio, videos, items in video games and other forms of creative work and can be traded on an NFT market.
